In recent years, Georgia has been working hard to improve its tracking of water usage, since in past comments from the courts they have pointed out that Georgia&#8217;s tracking was woefully inadequate. A recent article from the UGA Newswire describes some of the things that our extension folk are doing to improve water use efficiency, including the development of smart irrigation apps that allow farmers to determine just how much water they need to add to crops to ensure no yield losses.
