The rivers I crossed over were extremely high and in some cases were well above flood stage. So it is no surprise to me that Lake Lanier (and probably other lakes in the area) is at its highest level since 1964, according to this story from <em>WSB<\/em> in Atlanta, reposted by Tim Bryant of <em>WGAU<\/em> radio <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wgauradio.com\/news\/local\/flash-flood-watches-river-warnings-lanier-hits-highest-mark-since\/ksqoYDdnLrKPc5ZxB6drlL\/\">here<\/a>. With more rain on the way on Thursday, it can only get worse in the short term. Fortunately, a dry weekend will allow some of the water to finally move through the system and help us out.
