{"id":1759,"date":"2015-01-18T20:41:41","date_gmt":"2015-01-19T01:41:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/site.extension.uga.edu\/climate\/?p=1759"},"modified":"2015-01-18T20:54:00","modified_gmt":"2015-01-19T01:54:00","slug":"zebras-stripes-controlled-by-temperature","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/site.extension.uga.edu\/climate\/2015\/01\/zebras-stripes-controlled-by-temperature\/","title":{"rendered":"Zebras&#8217; stripes controlled by temperature"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An interesting story published this week in <em>Phys.Org<\/em> discusses the pattern of zebra stripes and attempts to determine how their patterns form. \u00a0Researchers from the University of California published a report this week in\u00a0<i>Royal Society Open Science\u00a0<\/i>which shows a statistical relationship between the pattern of black and white stripes on zebras in different regions to local temperatures.
