event should bring copious moisture to California, giving them some relief from the long-lived drought they have experienced over the last few years.\u00a0 You can read about this on the <em>Updraft<\/em> <a title=\"MPR pineapple express\" href=\"https:\/\/blogs.mprnews.org\/updraft\/2014\/12\/el-nino-driven-pineapple-express-to-soak-so-cal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">blog<\/a> from <em>Minnesota Public Radio<\/em>.\u00a0 The Los Angeles Times also has an article about the storm hitting California <a title=\"LA Times on storm 12-2-2014\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/local\/lanow\/la-me-ln-storm-season-mudslides-socal-20141202-story.html?track=rss&amp;utm_source=dlvr.it&amp;utm_medium=twitter&amp;dlvrit=649324\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the climate predictions for the next several weeks show temperatures above normal for most of the continental US.\u00a0 Tom Skilling, the WGN meteorologist from Chicago, has a great blog entry explaining the &#8220;stunning pattern shift&#8221;
