Not a big surprise considering the cold winter, which provided adequate chill hours for many varieties, and the extremely warm conditions which have occurred in the region for the last two weeks.\u00a0 But some varieties still may not have experienced sufficient chill hours to set a great crop. This article from <em>Growing Produce<\/em> discusses how peach farmers manage their suite of varieties to deal with variable chill hours and prune their trees to take advantage of the conditions that are occurring.
