The latest ENSO outlook from NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center shows that the La Ni\u00f1a watch is continuing.\u00a0 Remember that La Ni\u00f1a conditions have to continue for several months before it becomes an official event. At this point there is no likelihood of El Ni\u00f1o this winter but still some chance of neutral conditions, although that is considered less likely than La Ni\u00f1a. That means warmer, sunnier and drier than normal conditions are likely this winter, especially in Florida and in southern Georgia and Alabama as the subtropical jet blows storms to the north over the Ohio River basin. Neutral conditions are expected to return in spring.
