The effect is more pronounced in the Arctic, where warming\u00a0is happening the quickest.&#8221;\u00a0 You can read this story<a title=\"CBC fish ranges expanding\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/north\/climate-change-forcing-fish-stocks-north-study-1.2796207\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> here<\/a>.\u00a0 They noted that invasive fish species are also expanding, which could cause competition with native fish.<\/p>\n<p>In separate studies from the US and Great Britain, scientists found that the length of the pollen season for ragweed and other sneeze-inducing plants has increased, with the largest increases coming in more northern locations.\u00a0 These expansions are coming in line with increases in the length of the growing season.\u00a0 <em>Science Daily<\/em> reported on a <a title=\"Sci Daily pollen expansion\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedaily.com\/releases\/2014\/09\/140926085820.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">study<\/a> from the University of Leicester, which showed that ragweed pollen has been observed there on four consecutive days, which has never happened before.\u00a0 Ragweed pollen is seldom seen in Great Britain because it needs a long-lasting autumn before the first frost to flourish.
