{"id":10332,"date":"2017-03-10T09:25:00","date_gmt":"2017-03-10T14:25:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/site.extension.uga.edu\/climate\/?p=10332"},"modified":"2017-03-10T09:25:40","modified_gmt":"2017-03-10T14:25:40","slug":"florida-peaches-ready-to-shine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/site.extension.uga.edu\/climate\/2017\/03\/florida-peaches-ready-to-shine\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Florida peaches ready to shine&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>The Packer<\/em> published a story yesterday on the growth of the production of Florida peaches. \u00a0The article notes that &#8220;With virtually no other peaches on the market for an eight- to 10-week period each spring, Florida\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/ow.ly\/yPkP305wkJV\" target=\"_blank\">peach<\/a> crop is establishing a place for itself in the market.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The story goes on to quote a grower in Arcadia FL southeast of Tampa as saying that this year&#8217;s crop will have better volume than last year&#8217;s because &#8220;Last year we didn\u2019t have the cooler temperatures we needed to \u2018set\u2019 the crop.
