  • Help UGA researchers track toxic algal blooms

    Researchers at the University of Georgia are working to develop an early warning system for bright green toxic algal blooms in Georgia lakes using social media platforms and cloud computing to crowdsource instances where further monitoring may be necessary.   • New experimental precipitation product available from NOAA

    There is a new “experimental” product available from the Earth System Research Laboratory (ESRL) of NOAA which provides analog values of precipitation amounts for time periods from the present to ten days out.  The product is available at https://esrl.noaa.gov/psd/forecasts/reforecast2/analogs/index.html.
