Wet conditions over the last week have helped to continue the trend towards less drought across the Southeast. The only exception is the Florida peninsula, which saw an increase in abnormally dry (D0) conditions this week because the rain was largely concentrated farther north and hot conditions continue to occur there. With the rain in the next week we should expect to see further reductions in drought and perhaps some reduction in Florida along the northern border of the D0 conditions.
