The latest Drought Monitor released this morning shows relatively small changes in drought this week. Severe drought was removed from Georgia and reduced in Florida but expanded slightly in Alabama.  Fortunately, a pattern change in the next week should mean a return to more frequent rains in the dry areas, so drought could remain constant or even decrease in next week’s map.
