The latest Drought Monitor, released this morning, shows a slight increase in the amount of moderate drought in the Southeast from last week due to low levels of precipitation. Since next week should also be fairly dry, I don’t foresee a decrease in drought in the coming week, although the rain we’ve had in the past day (since the map was made) could make a difference.
