The latest Drought Monitor, released this morning, shows very slight changes to abnormally dry (D0) conditions around the US this week, with South Carolina seeing a slight increase in area and North Carolina and Virginia seeing a small reduction. In Puerto Rico, the moderate drought (D1) also decreased slightly. Not much rain is expected in the next week, so there could be some minor increases on next week’s map.
