The latest Drought Monitor released this morning shows only slight changes in drought across the Southeast this week. Moderate drought was removed from a small portion of central Alabama while it expanded slightly in central Georgia. South Florida saw an expansion in abnormally dry conditions. The rest of the region saw no changes. With some more rain this week, especially in northern AL and GA, it would not surprise me to see more improvements in next week’s map.
