The latest Drought Monitor, released today, shows small improvements in dry conditions in the Florida Panhandle and the removal of abnormally dry conditions altogether from Georgia and an expansion of abnormally dry conditions in central Florida, which has largely been missed by rain. With little rain expected there in the next week, we could see a further expansion in next week’s map.
