For the first two weeks of September, the Southeast has been running 2-4 degrees above normal (higher in the north, less in the south).  Rainfall has been lower than normal in most places with the exception of areas hit by the remains of TS Erika.

Warmer and drier than normal conditions are expected to continue for the rest of the month.
