Today’s Drought Monitor shows that there were only slight changes in the status of abnormally dry conditions and drought across the region. The biggest change was a slight decrease in the area of severe (D2) drought in the southern counties of Georgia. I expect to see more improvement in next week’s map with the rain we got today plus the rainy weekend we expect coming up. Almost no change in Puerto Rico as well.
