The latest Drought Monitor released yesterday shows that the moderate drought which has been affecting parts of the Southeast expanded by more than 50% since the last DM. Now more than half of Georgia is in moderate drought and other states have also seen increases in their drought levels. Since we are getting more rain in the next few days, it probably will not increase in next week’s DM, but we will keep watching.
