We are halfway through February 2022, so it’s time to take a quick look at how the month is shaking out climatologically so far. For most of the Southeast, temperatures have been above normal. The exceptions are parts of western Alabama, southern Georgia, and most of Florida. Precipitation has been mostly lower than normal other than a band stretching from Mobile Al through northern GA and up the spine of the Southern Appalachians.
