The latest Drought Monitor, released earlier this week, shows that abnormally dry conditions continue to shrink in the region. The latest map shows that the only state with any remnant abnormally dry conditions is Alabama. With normal rain expected in the next week, those two last areas may also be phased out in next week’s map.
