The latest Drought Monitor released this morning shows an increase in abnormally dry conditions across the Southeast since last week. A large area of abnormally dry conditions was introduced into Florida, and two areas of moderate drought were introduced into Georgia this week as well as expanding in South Carolina. Considering that very little rain is expected in the next week, conditions are not likely to improve in next week’s map, either.
