The latest Drought Monitor shows that due to copious rain in most of the Southeast, drought levels have been reduced and extreme drought has been eliminated from Georgia. However, Florida missed most of the rain and the result is that moderate drought levels have expanded in northern Florida including parts of the Panhandle. More rain is expected in the next week and that trend may be reversed in the next DM, we hope.
