The guide will provide you with visual examples of different types of clouds and how they relate to the weather that is happening where the clouds have formed. If you know what type of cloud you are seeing, you can often predict how the weather is likely to change in the next day or so. If you really like to see cloud pictures, then I suggest going to the Cloud Appreciation Society website and looking at their wonderful gallery of clouds.
