After over 8,000 entries beginning in April 2014, I will stop posting on this blog on May 29. I am retiring as of June 1 and will not longer have access to the university WordPress account. However, all of the posts I have written should remain in the archive so you can still visit it and search for things like ENSO or hurricane insurance. Just use the search icon on the top of the page to put in your request. The university is in the process of hiring my replacement but I do not know if they will be interested in continuing the blog, writing their own, or concentrating on other activities. It has been a pleasure to provide you with so much information over the years and I have learned a lot of interesting things about weather and climate as I searched for useful or quirky articles to include. I will continue to post through May and will try to put in some information about other ways to get weather and climate information that you might be interested in. If you have anything you would particularly like to see, please let me know.
