This week, I am thankful for many things, including farmers, food, family, and friends! I am thankful that we did not have any hurricanes hit the US this year after a horrible 2024, giving some respite to producers, even though it has resulted in dry conditions late in the growing season. I am thankful to have a job that lets me help others as well as enjoy the beautiful world created by God for His glory. I am also thankful for every one of you and your friendly comments over the year–that tells me you are reading what I send out!
I hope that you have or had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend spending time with people you care about (and maybe pets too), eating good food and enjoying some rest from your labors. But I am also thankful for those who are working this weekend as doctors, nurses, farmers, meteorologists, emergency managers, and others who serve us by working on days we have off to keep us safe.
