The latest 7-day QPF map shows that most of the region should get rain again this week, but the heaviest amounts are expected to fall in northern Alabama and NW Georgia as well as Tennessee. Other areas will see less rain, especially SE Georgia and the Florida peninsula, which did not get much from the last system either, so they will not get much relief this week. For timing, the next three days should be dry, which will allow producers into the fields to do needed planting and field work. Rain should start again in the northwest on Wednesday and progress eastward, giving Georgia and more eastern areas a rainy day on Thursday ending on early Friday morning. There will be a lot of graduations in the Southeast this weekend, so be sure to check your local forecasts for the latest outlooks. For the UGA graduations on Friday, I do not expect any rain but some seats in Sanford Stadium may still be wet on Friday evening for the undergrad ceremony, especially in shady areas, since temperatures will be in the low 70s during the day.
