NOAA will be offering a series of five hurricane awareness webinars starting April 29, 2026, and going through May on several topics of interest to the Southeast. The first webinar will be a review of the 2025 season, which did not have much impact on the Southeast other than TS Chantelle but had a big impact on Jamaica with Hurricane Melissa. The last one sounds the most interesting to me, with the title “Weird Science: Fascinating Lessons in the World of Tropical Cyclones.” Check them all out and register at https://www.noaa.gov/regional-collaboration-network/regions-southeast-and-caribbean/2026-hurricane-awareness-webinars.
