A storm is expected to move through the Southeast this week, bringing an inch or more of rain to a lot of the region other than the Florida panhandle. The rain will start in Alabama on Sunday and will move east and northeast across the region over the next few days. It will move out of the region by Thursday, leaving warmer and drier conditions in place. The rain will be welcome since it has been very dry for most areas in the past few weeks. Some areas of southeast Alabama and central Georgia could see several inches of rain. Week 2 is expected to be warmer than normal with near-normal precipitation amounts.
