The latest global climate summary for October 2024 was released by NOAA this week. It shows that the earth as a whole was the second warmest year since official records began in 1880. Many areas had record warmth but a few areas were still below the long-term average, including the area where La Nina is developing. Sea ice extent on earth was the lowest on record.
