Because I am tired of talking about the potential for a hurricane in the Gulf next week, here is some counterprogramming–a review of the (fairly) new Twisters movie, which was released about a month ago. It was written by a friend of mine, Barb Mayes Boustead, who is a severe weather specialist and someone who does storm chasing on her own and provides her take on the movie. I admit that when I saw it, I turned to my meteorologist husband after an hour and said “who would ever want to spend time with these people?” even though the special effects were interesting and somewhat better than the original Twister. If you have seen it, you are welcome to send me your take on it.
