The latest national climate summary for July 2023 is now available from NOAA. It shows that this past July was the 11th warmest since records began in 1895. Several states had their warmest Julys ever, including Florida. The US precipitation was in the middle third of all years. They also noted that there have been 15 individual weather and climate disaster events confirmed for January through July 2023, each with losses exceeding $1 billion.
