The latest Drought Monitor, released today, shows a decrease in drought across the region. This was expected because of the significant amount of rain that we saw in the last week. The only increase was a minor amount of abnormally dry conditions (D0) in Virginia. More rain in the next week everywhere except for the Florida peninsula should mean further reductions next week.
