NOAA sent out their August global summary of climate conditions last week. It shows that the earth as a whole had its 6th warmest August since records began in 1880. It was the 5th lowest sea ice coverage on record. You can read more in August 2022 Global Climate Report | National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) (noaa.gov). Here in the Southeast we were a bit warmer than normal but most other parts of the globe were much warmer by comparison, although there were also pockets of colder than normal conditions.
