NOAA released their updated monthly climate outlook for June 2022 today. It shows that the temperature in the region is leaning towards warmer than normal conditions, especially in coastal areas. The precipitation outlook shows most parts of the Southeast in equal chances of near, below, or above normal except for southern Florida, which is heavily weighted towards the possibility of tropical moisture early in the month with the likely approach of a blob of tropical moisture that is the remains of Hurricane Agatha from the Eastern Pacific (see separate post on this). The rest of the month depends largely on whether the tropics wake up or go back to sleep, since the Atlantic tropical season is just officially beginning.
