The latest 7-day QPF map shows that most of the region will see relatively light rainfall this week. In a few areas, there may be no rain at all. The exception is the southern end of the Florida peninsula, which could see copious rain if Tropical Storm Agatha, now in the Eastern Pacific Ocean, crosses over Mexico and enters the Gulf of Mexico. If that happens, southern Florida could see a lot of rain late in the week as the Gulf storm moves eastward over that part of the region. There is a lot of uncertainty with this forecast, so if you are in the area, you will want to keep careful watch on how this situation develops.
