Climate scientists are constantly analyzing data and looking at results of computer modeling to better understand how the earth’s atmosphere/ocean system works. Even though it may seem like they are changing their minds, they are really updating their understanding when they see new information in the data they are studying. That is what science is. Improvements in our understanding of how the atmosphere works will help us to do a better job in the future of projecting what climate later in the century will look like. Here are a few stories about recent research on the Earth and what it is telling us about trends in climate.
