We’re about halfway through October, and so far the month is quite a bit warmer than normal. The daytime maximum temperatures are somewhat above, but the overnight minimum temperatures are even more above normal. Precipitation is variable across the region, with Georgia and Alabama wetter than normal while eastern parts of NC and VA are drier than normal along with parts of the Florida peninsula.
