Florida BRACE announced a webinar this week that you might find of interest. Presented by Jake Carstens, Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Science, Florida State University.

Tropical cyclones frequently impact Florida, and recent hurricanes have included Irma (2017), Michael (2018), and Sally (2020). While the ability to forecast tropical cyclone formation, track, and intensity has improved, the impacts that climate change will have on tropical cyclone activity remains an active and evolving area of research. This webinar will share results from the recent literature and summarize the current state of knowledge about how climate change is impacting tropical cyclones and how it will likely impact future tropical cyclone activity.
