It’s Henri, the 8th storm of 2021! Henri formed today in the Atlantic near Bermuda and looks like it will do a big loop before heading back to the northeast. No threat to any of us here in the US other than perhaps a few waves on the coast. Meanwhile, Fred is moving north along the AL-GA border and has been dropping quite a bit of rain. As of 11 pm, the UGA station at Donalsonville in SW Georgia has received 4.03 inches of rain. Meanwhile, the highest wind gust so far was 45.3 mph at 6:58 PM at Steam Mill just SW of Donalsonville, closely followed by Donalsonville with 43.5 mph at 10:32 pm. TD Gloria is bringing rain to earthquake-devastated Haiti tonight and will be moving west towards a potential landfall on the Yucutan Peninsula of Mexico in a few days. There is a new wave coming off of Africa today, but no immediate development is expected.
