The latest 7-day QPF map shows that while there will be scattered showers across the Southeast this week, most areas will not see a lot of rain. The wettest areas will be in the mountains and in southern Florida, where storms may be more frequent. In other areas, there will be a chance of rain each day, but those chances will diminish by mid-week. The tropics look like they are resuming their quiet state for now, but that is not unusual in July, and we still have the most active part of the season to go. Temperatures should be relatively mild, so enjoy the summer because next year might not be so cool!
