A messy area of low pressure off the coast of Florida this week is drifting west and is expected to bring some rain to coastal areas of northeast Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina early this week. The low has only a small chance of developing into a tropical depression, so winds are not expected to be a problem, and the rain should be confined to an area fairly close to the coast and amount to only an inch or two. There was some concern earlier that it might pull itself together today and become a named storm, but that is looking less likely with every update.
