The latest 7-day QPF map shows that this coming week will be quite a bit rainier than the last couple due to the passage of what is likely to be Tropical Storm Zeta (now tropical depression 28) mid-week. The heaviest rain from Zeta should fall in parts of Alabama and Georgia Tuesday night through Thursday night, but it is raining now in parts of Alabama and Georgia and that will also move through the Carolinas on Sunday into Monday before Zeta becomes a factor. Once the remains of Zeta move out, drier conditions should return by the end of the week along with cooler, fall-like temperatures.
