The latest 7-day QPF map shows that Florida should receive the bulk of the rain this week as the tropics continue to be active. They will see showers from the outskirts of Tropical Storm Gamma and other rain-makers which should stay off the coast of the rest of the Southeast. Those of us who are not in Florida should expect to see dry conditions through Thursday morning, when light showers may return to the region. In week 2, there is a chance of heavy rains along the Gulf coast with the continued activity there, but the general pattern should remain. Temperatures in week 2 are expected to be warmer than normal.
