As I am sure you all know, the severe derecho that blew through the Midwest a few days ago has caused tremendous damage to the area, which is part of the Corn Belt and one of the main agricultural areas in the US. While it is too early to estimate all of the agricultural losses yet (I’ve seen upwards of $3 billion), the images are heartbreaking. Here are a few stories about the event.
