If you are interested in watching a video about how climate is changing in Florida and the Southeast, you can’t do better than view this recorded presentation by State Climatologist David Zierden speaking to student journalists at the University of Florida. It has a few audio and visual issues since it was recorded live, but it is a very clear explanation of changes in climate over time and what it means for Florida. It covers temperature, precipitation, frosts, droughts and floods, hurricanes and sea level. He also discusses how we know the climate is changing and what it means for the future.

His presentation is very similar to ones I have done over time and it is science based and easy to understand.  It’s about 1 hour  20 minutes long  and includes a Q&A session at the end. While it is Florida specific, most of what he says is applicable to Georgia and other areas of the Southeast as well. You can view it here.
