The Georgia Department of Agriculture is in the process of finalizing relief payments to farmers in Georgia that were affected by Hurricane Michael in 2018 but who were not eligible to get payments through other USDA programs. If you are in one of the 95 counties affected by the storm, you should take a look at the information provided by the Georgia Farm Bureau to see how to apply. It must be done online (preferably by computer since documents have to be uploaded) in a 3-week window of time. You can read more at https://www.gfb.org/media-and-publications/news.cms/2020/725/georgia-farm-recovery-block-grant-application-guide-release or in this 2-page handout at https://agr.georgia.gov/Data/Sites/1/media/ag_FarmRecovery/files/20200210-Recovery-Block-Grant-Handout.pdf .
