The folks from NIDIS (National Integrated Drought Information Systems) have provided a nice summary of the 2019 year in review in ten maps related to drought across the US. We had our share in the Southeast, but it was dwarfed by the exceptional drought in the Four Corners region of the Desert Southwest. Note that even deserts can have droughts!
