The latest preliminary monthly climate outlook for February 2020 was released today. It shows that unlike most of the previous few months, most of the region is now in equal chances of near, below or above normal temperatures. This is a change from the lean towards warmer than normal temperatures we have seen in most months recently due to our long-term warming, and indicates that climatologists are not sure how long the changing weather pattern that will bring cooler air to the Southeast will last. Most of the Southeast is also showing an edge to the continuation of wetter than normal conditions which we have seen in January in a lot of the region.
