The month of September was very warm across the US. It tied with 2015 for the second warmest September on record, according to the latest news from NOAA. In the Southeast, it was the driest September since records began in 1895 in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Mississippi. It was not the warmest September on record for all of our states, but was in the top five warmest.
