If you’ve been thinking that we have had a large number of days with maximum temperatures at or above 90 F, you are not mistaken. For many stations in the Southeast for the year to date, they have numbers which are ranked in the top five. We got an early start this year with quite a few days in May, and it has continued well into fall. You can use the Southeast Climate Center’s Perspectives tool to try it out for yourself at https://sercc.com/perspectives. You can also see how long our current dry spell is. Unfortunately, I don’t see a lot of rainfall for Georgia coming from prospective TS Humberto, since it is currently being forecast to track off the East Coast, although some rain may fall in coastal counties.
